Publication Alert: Third-party participation in arbitration proceedings from the perspective of the arbitral tribunal

All the more so as the article has been published in a commemorative volume in honour of the leading authority on arbitration law and our esteemed colleague Prof. Dr Christian Borris, LL.M.

The anthology, entitled “Third-Party Participation in International Arbitration”, is now available as part of the renowned BECK · NOMOS · HART series published by C.H. Beck GmbH & Co. KG. It brings together 29 contributions from internationally recognised authors from academia and practice on one of the most challenging issues in international arbitration: the participation of third parties in arbitration proceedings.

Dr Annett Kuhli-Spatscheck and Dr Joshua Blach contributed a chapter entitled “The Parties’ Agreement as the Foundation of Arbitration and the Corresponding Role of the Arbitrator in the Participation of Third Parties”.

Our colleagues adopt an arbitrator’s perspective in particular and examine the role of the tribunal when it comes to the involvement of third parties in ongoing arbitration proceedings.
