A week dedicated to litigation and arbitration:

Once again, the Berlin Dispute Resolution Days brought together experts from around the world for a series of events and opportunities to exchange insights and expertise. Four members of the Kantenwein team were among the participants.

Dr. Annett Kuhli-Spatscheck and Dr. Stefan Hackel attended the DIS Autumn Conference, “Geopolitics and Defence – Arbitration in Times of Rearmament”. Discussions focused on the impact of geopolitical developments on cross-border contractual relationships, covering issues ranging from supply chains in the defence sector and the handling of sensitive information to export controls and sanctions.

Julian Hauser and Anna Kappenberger attended the DIS40 Autumn Conference, “Evidence in International Arbitration: Beyond the Common and Civil Law Divide”. The conference addressed current issues relating to the taking of evidence in international arbitration proceedings, including witness evidence, document production and the increasing use of AI in arbitration.
